All my new bags had received great feedback, especially this one. I think cause of the hand stitched vintage embroidery at the front.

I made new stands for my earrings, I think they worked out really well!

Something different. I love the palette of colours you can get with zippers.

Made some more bags using vintage fabrics. I've found the great thing about vintage polyester is that it doesn't wrinkle! And no fluff sticks to it!

I've been using my vast collection of vintage buttons and making them into stud earrings. I've also incorporated some vintage lace with my buttons as you can see in the picture above. Some buttons I've made into colourful broaches.

It's been a while since I've sold my creations at a market... So I was really exited when I set up a stall at Glebe Markets the past two weeks. I received great feedback from customers and it's really given me that boost to do more markets in the future.

All my earrings and broaches were posted onto cards with illustration taken from my library of vintage fairytale books.

I love the whole 'nostalgic' feeling you get when you find something vintage and it automatically reminds you of a moment in your life.

I call this doll 'Geri' as in Geri Halliwell, it wasn't intentional, I had all this wool in shades of red and didn't really want to knit anything, so I made dolls. As well as using all my left over scraps of fabric at home. Why chuck it out, it's good stuff. I hope to make more, when I get some more time.

Inspired by the lead singer from 'Simply Red', Mick Hucknall. I came up with this little guy. I made sure he wore a rock'n'roll style blazer with trendy gold buttons. He's just a little bigger then Geri.

Here is my little girl wearing something I made for her. It's from a Burda pattern (9650 to be exact). It's a great pattern if you're starting out. The final make of the garment is a little bigger, but I find it's good, baby can move comfortably in it and grow a little more also. One thing I've noticed, they sure grow 'very' quickly.

I know, you're probably wondering if this girl has a life? I do, it's called being on maternity leave. My baby is great, she's happy to watch t.v. and play with her toys. I'm sure there are times she watches me and is interested to see what I'm doing... can't wait to teach her how to draw!

My newspaper print again. I really need a new bag, I should make myself one!
I love using seat belts to make bags. It looks so modern and is obviously strong. Alot of my male friends have asked me to come up with something for them. I'm still in the process of designing a range that doesn't look girly. I have a few ideas. I'll see what my husband and brothers think of them. Their always good judges of that.

Made from a mixture of salvaged and new materials. The strap is an old seat belt and the red fabric is a jersey that used to be a picture of E.T. I love the newspaper cotton fabric I purchased from Japan. Will definitely be making a range of bags and pouches from it.

Found this great fabric, the stuff used for those thick winter jackets! Looks great as a clutch.

Isn't this shade of blue so cool? It's so vibrant, really retro. I had to make it into a wallet. The leather is recycled of course as well as the lining and buttons. I've posted it on madeit.com.au.

This is also on madeit.com.au, using recycled materials. I wanted to use the jeans tag as a feature. Something different. I love these colours, red and dark denim. I often wear this combo together.

I totally love buttons. They must be the most versatile craft material ever! You can obviously use them on clothes, but also make jewellery with them, use them to decorate bags, cards, shoes.... the list is endless.

Made this bag for my friend Matty, he takes it to work every day. He hassles me to make business cards cause he gets random people constantly asking 'is that made out of seat belts?', 'where did you get it?'

It's comforting to know, lots of people out there appreciate something I've made, but most of all, appreciate something made from recycled materials.

I came across this old poster/banner that was going to be discarded, instead of it going to waist I made this really useful toiletry bag. It's water proof, holds it's shape and fits a whole heap of stuff. This bag listed on http://www.pixielane.etsy.com/
